Ive read lot reviews some r so similar perfect ac 1 nite it nus stop blowing cold the clutch will not engage anymore
JA: Has the clutch been slipping? Are you having any trouble shifting?
Customer: My air conditioning clutch
JA: What is the model/year of your Acura?
Customer: 2005 Acura mdx
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes the clutch i free jus stop blowing cold full of freon
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: It was doing fine this happened all at once It only has 65000 miles

Ok there are man issues with the compressor field coils shorting out and you can take a flash light and look and you will see and smell like melted plastic.Very common failures. You will need to have the compressor clutch removed and the field coil replaced to fix this issue not a major repair we do it with the compressor still in the vehicle from the bottom.This is what needs to be checked next fro this issue .Hoped this helped.Please rate excellent service so I can get credit for my help thanks.Bonuses greatly appreciated.Im here if you need any further assistance at no further charge .

Know you will need to remove the compressor clutch to see the actual melted filed coil.If you jump out the compressor clutch relay an the clutch does not engage thats the issue .
