1999 Acura TL when it gets heated after driving a distance,

Customer Question

1999 Acura TL when it gets heated after driving a distance, & I make a stop for 30 mins. I start it up again & it seems like it's going to die, so I press the gas until it feels like it won't die out then I continue in my way

114783, had the trans done, no check engine light on,haven't scanned for codes, coolant level good, not sure about thermo, temp good

i would check thermostat and water pump,

if you are adding coolant to it , than you have to check for blown head gasket

you can run a test on that and see.

i doubt at the 114k, unless you rant hot, and it went in the red and drove on it .

Most possible reasons

1- thermostat

2- water pump

3- radiator check for good flow

4- make sure the coolant fans si not turning off intermittently
