I have a Acura MDX from 2007 and the battery keep draining.

Customer Question

I have a Acura MDX from 2007 and the battery keep draining. I had a mechanic out and he pulled every single fuse but his little machine still showed him that something was slowly draining the battery. It is fine in the week when I drive to work everyday but on Mondays (after it hasn't run for the weekend) the battery is completely dead. The battery is about 1 year old
JA: How old is the battery? Have you checked the battery gauge on the dash?
Customer: 1 year old.
JA: What is the model of your '07 Acura?
Customer: Yes I have checked
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: MDX
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Yea I'm hoping
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Acura Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

These can be tricky to find draws in. Mostly because the system does not fully shut down for about 20-30 min after the car is shut off. So sometimes you can pull all the fuses and not find the draw. However there are 2 common things that cause draws in this model. first the compressor relay sticks on and drains the battery. In fact if it has not been changed I would just change it now as they are very common p[problem in hot weather, the other problem is the HFL (bluetooth) Unit in the back of the console they short and drain the battery as well . Since the battery takes 2 days to drain this is the most logical failure. try this pull the back off the console and unplug the HFL unit and remove the a/c relay let the car sit 30 min and recheck for a draw to see if it goes away. Here are some links to the parts Im talking about.
