Can u blow up ur battery trying to jump it with to big of

can u blow up ur battery trying to jump it with to big of vehicle with a lot of power? or damage anything else if the case yes?

As long as the other vehicle is 12 volt negative ground it will not blow up the battery or damage the electrical system.

Jumper cables should be hooked up in the following manner and removed in reverse

  • Connect the first end of the RED positive lead to the positive terminal on the working battery. Do the same for the other end of the lead for the dead battery.
  • Connect the BLACK negative lead to the negative terminal on the working battery. Attach the other end to a metal (ground) point, such as a bolt or bracket, away from the dead battery. Some cars have negative jump-starting poles - check your handbook to see if yours does.
