Tl: I failed TX state inspection having any brake lights.

Customer Question

I failed TX state inspection for not having any brake lights. I have done the following to determine the problem.
1) checked all fuses and lighting relAys.
2) replaced the brake light switch
3) Replaced the bulbs in the two reAr tail lights.
4) checked the 3rd lights in the back window but don't have replacements and parys store is now closed. The filaments appear to be intact and there is no blackening to indicate a blown bulb.
I checked all fuses in both the interior fuse box and the box under the hood.
Horn works and the car can easily shift from park to all gears.
Turn signals and reverse luggts are working.
License plate light is also working.

We will need to test the system to see where we have the signal and where we don't. The first place to check is the brake light sensor at the left rear tail light. Here is a picture and diagram . Click links. Press the brake and make sure there is power to the white wire and the green wire at the sensor box. also check that the black wire is a good ground. Let me know what you find and we can go from there.
