Acura TL: Just had my battery replaced 12 days ago. 2001 Acura

Customer Question

Just had my battery replaced 12 days ago. 2001 Acura TL and now the engine won't turn over. Not even a clicking sound. It did this a couple of days ago, but it eventually sputtered to life. Now, I get nothing. Is this a starter issue? Ignition?

Hello I am master tech and will be able to assist you. This does sound like a failed starter. If you have a long screwdriver or pry bar you can hit the starter while someone is holding the key on start. A couple good smacks should reset the brushes unless they are gone completely. If you have a volt meter we could also check for power at the solenoid wire also to confirm a failed starter.
