Hello and welcome to Justanswer!
It's very possible that the steering angle sensor has failed. The steering angle sensor is in the column and monitors the exact angle of the steering wheel, this is used for traction and stability control functions. If the sensor fails and either isn't reporting or is reporting an erratic/implausible steering angle then it will set a fault code and the warning light will come on.
