Customer Question

This is a question about Quicken reports. (Quicken 2009 deluxe)
I want a report that shows what I paid to every payee grouped by category i.e.:

XYZ gas company 100.00
ABC gas company 200.00

Total Gas expenses 300.00

Candidate Z 100.00
Candidate A 100.00

Total political contributions 200.00

Is this possible?

Thanks for your Question. My name is Richard and I look forward to assisting you.

Look at the Category Report, then Subtotal it by Payee.

This will break it up for you.

For customizing you can review this instructions guide. There is quite a lot you can do to customizing your reports Display.

I sent you a message after your 1streply but apparently you didn't get it. I need more detail. Where is the "Category Report"? I can't find where you are talking about. Please tell me specifically what to click on and where it is located on the screen. I have tried clicking on "itemized category" and cannot make it break it down by payee and category. I typed an example in my original question showing how I would like it broken out.
