I dont know of any way to get a 2006 download. I can find you 2004 because they use it as an intermediate step for upgrading older versions. Especially if you bought it retail rather than through quicken. If you purchased via download or directly from quicken you can log into your account at www.quicken.com and look under downloads and unlocks and there might be a download available there although they only guarantee going back 3 years.

What exactly did they do to "tune up" your pc. If they put windows 7 on it 2006 wont work under that in any case.

You can try doing a system restore to before you sent it to them. I can tell you where the program SHOULD be but i would have thought the "tech" would know.

It should be in C:\program files\ and then look for either quicken or intuit folder if you find one of those there will be an exe or aplication file probably QW.exe You can right click on it and select copy and then right click on your desktop and select paste as shortcut.

You should make sure that they didnt lose your data files as well. Search for *.qdf from the windows start menu search box and that will show any quicken data files.

You can probably find a used copy on www.amazon.com or www.ebay.com

If you had it registered you may be able to ask quicken directly. Its going to depend on who you talk to. They have a habit of saying "we dont support 2006 anymore buy the 2012" Which you can get for a good discount at www.quicken.com/go/upgrade

But if you get the right person and they can find your registration data they may give you a link to download it again.
