My friend who is 80 had breast cancer 3 years ago. She looks much younger, is very stylish. I saw her last week. She is very concerned that she has lost her appetite and is losing weight when she isn’t trying. She was treated at Mayo but is fight me about coming down there for a checkup. Any ideas?
JA: How long has your friend had breast cancer? Has she used any medication for it?
Customer: Supposedly she was cured after several radiation treatments about 3 years ago. I am not sure if she is on any medication now, but I can ask tomorrow.
JA: Has she seen a doctor about breast cancer?
Customer: Yes, about 4 years ago at Mayo. As I mentioned when she got to ring the bell after her final radiation treatment about 3 years ago she was pronounced “cured”.

The blower motor on my 2002 Ram 1500 stopped working. I have tested the blower motor and it works (Bypassed through cigarette lighter to defrost in current weather). I have changed the ignition switch as there were signs of overheating and I have changed the resistor (which was covered in dead leaves and debris). I also checked the fuse (Interchanged with the power window 40 Amp fuse) and cleaned the switch in the dash as that was greenish-ly corroded. I see that the light on the dash panel is not working. What can I do next?
JA: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs?
Customer: Yes, all fuses are fine and bulbs were functioning when the blower failed. (Because of the bypass, there is no power to the dash panel, which is probably why the light is off)
JA: Are you fixing your Ram 1500 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Changed ignition switch, checked blower motor (Direct 12V power makes it spin happily), cleaned the switch (greasy green gunk removed), checked the 40Amp fuse, changed the resistor with another (secondhand, but better condition as previous one) checked if power at blower motor (No, obviously)
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I am in Europe and do not have free access to a Dodge parts center... I would need the MacGyver version of your mechanic's advice...!

I had my nails done today and as she was spraying what I believe was isoprolol alcohol on my nails, I think she got a little in my eye. I thought it was just my contact and the pollen irritating my eye. Now that my contacts are out of my eyes, my right eye vision is blurrier than normal with my glasses on. I also flushed my eye now with tap water as well as put in ketotifen (Alaway) in as that usually will help with the pollen/smoke irritates. Should I be concerned? Or will the epithelium regenerate over time?

Customer: Headache today, but I also was driving 600 miles for a RN job interviews (x3). Time frame since 1130 Monday morning, took contacts out at 1230, arrived at hotel. Sadly I didn’t flush my eyes earlier as I didn’t think it was related to the nails situation until now.

Customer: Stigmatism, contacts/glasses for 36 yrs. HTN, methotrexate for RA/possible mixed connective tissue disease too

I have uncovered fraud at my work place, whereby employees are defrauding my restaurant by manipulation the Point of sales system and customer invoices after payment .. i have printed past 3 years transactions and have uncovered 3 employees who are involved.. after speaking with the employees they have verbally admitted to it and have offered to pay back the money rather than me going the criminal prosecution route..

HI, I have been taking endep 10mg for 3 days to help with insomnia. I would like to try and stop taking it. Can I just stop ?

Customer: I have been suffering from insomnia on and off for around 6 weeks. I was taking Temazepam for around 3 weeks and then went to Bali and found I slept ok without it. As soon as I got home though I found I couldn't sleep again. My doctor prescribed me Endep as she said it wasn't addictive but after doing more research it appears it is very addictive. I really don't want to be taking this drug but want to know after 3 days, can I just stop or should I take half tonight maybe? Look forward to your comments

Have had Afib for 2 yrs. Was taking bisoprolol, then switched to Bystolic 10 mg. I had first visit with electrophysiologist today. I feel that beta blockers make me lethargic/lacking in energy. EP said to discontinue Bystolic and see if within 5 days that helps to get my energy level back. I do have a pacemaker. I'm wondering about abruptly stopping the Bystolic. Okay or not?
JA: When were you prescribed Bisoprolol? How severe were any side effects?
Customer: Started Bisoprolol in April 2017 5 mg., increased to 10 mg in April 2018. Prefer Bystolic instead of bisoprolol, but have had low energy since soon after starting on beta blockers. Treatment until today has been with cardiologist. I asked for referral to EP, whom I saw today and he said to stop Bystolic.
JA: Have you used anything besides Bisoprolol for this?
Customer: Yes, I switched from Bisoprolol to Bystolic. Bisoprolol gave me bladder problems. I will never take bisoprolol again!

Customer: Yes, my atrial fibrillation began when I had open heart surgery to replace aortic valve in November 2015. Pacemaker was implanted six days after surgery. Afib continued for 2 months, then I was Afib free for a year until it returned in April 2017.
