PLEASE I NEED IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AT LEAST 100 WORDS THANK YOU !!!!

1.Explain how music and culture influence one another. Provide an example of a song or album that affected culture. Provide examples of songs with cultural references.

2.A big part of how pop music affects culture involves how it is distributed. Briefly describe how pop music and music distribution has changed over the last century.
1. Music is an integral aspect of culture that serves as representations and physical expressions of spirits and traditions at the time period. An example of a song or album that affected culture would be anything by Elvis, including Jailhouse Rock. It changed the way Americans viewed rock and roll as a part of mainstream culture and the way that attitudes towards Race within the same culture shifted. Examples of songs with cultural references would be American Idiot by Green Day, which highlighted the cultural sentiment of the conflict in the Middle East or American Pie by Don McLean which integrated the sentiments of music culture with the death of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and others.

2. Pop Music and Music distribution has changed dramatically over the last century. Pop music evolved from being distributed in stores, on records and seen on tv into a massive media phenomenon. Whereas pop music used to be in control of distributors, retailers and agents who had the authority to publish and distribute music, it is now a large part of self-publishing, viral marketing and virtual distribution. This has shifted the way that music is received, marketed and sold as well as the popularity of pop music and its performers who now have competition from many more sources.
