Hi Melissa,

For an individual monogram, the common rule is

first name initial, last name initial and middle name initial, in that order.

So Melissa Mary Zelko's monogram would look as follows:
M Z M

.........................................

For married monograms, you have two choices

1. Modern monograms, the most common rule is

Woman's First Name, Married Last Name, Husband's First Name.

So Melissa Mary Zelko married to William XXXXX XXXXX's monogram would look: M S W

....

2. Traditional monogram, the most common rule was

Woman's First Name, Married Last Name, Woman's Maiden Name.

So Melissa Mary Zelko married to William XXXXX XXXXX's monogram would look: M S Z

...

I hope this helps, if you have any further questions, feel free to ask, it costs nothing to click reply. If this has helped, please remember to click the green accept button.
