  • Volkswagen Beetle Turbo S: I have a 2001 vw beetle 1.8 gas
    I have a 2001 vw beetle 1.8 gas turbo. The vw dealer to me I had to change the ignition for the key and the instrument cluster because my car turns on than cuts off. The first time they told me I needed the key to the car reprogramed and they charged me $40. Will my car start if I replace these two parts?

  • Volkswagen Beetle GLS TDI: we have a 2005 vw diesel beetle
    we have a 2005 vw diesel beetle that loses power and the check engine light comes on. Thought the transmission was slipping because the motor would reve up, but the car would hardly move. Had it checked by a transmission mechanic and he said the transmission looked fine, but the transaxles were wore out and one was broken. He replaced them and the car seemed to run fine with no hesitation for 6 days and then it started doing the same thing. When it hesitated again, there was a rattle that seemed to be coming from behind the dash.
