Hi and good morning .
Okay when the check engine light starts to flash then this is a soign of a misfiring engine which will also store a malfunction code . when you have the oil change ask the shop to hook up your car to a diagnostic scan tool and check for malfunction codes.
From the codes you will know what is causing you this issue ,flashing light you will most likely see a P0300 code and maybe other like a P0301 ,P0302 etc.
A misfiring code could be any of the following issue .
But as said a code reader will help you find the problem.
At most auto part stores you can have the code read for free like AutoZone for example.
If you need help with the malfunction codes then please get back to me with the codes .
After accepting you can get back to me anytime at no extra charge .
Kind regards Greg
Blinking is Misfire , solid light is a stored malfunction code .
When flashing its best to have checked and repaired as soon as possible as a misfiring engine will cause catalytic converter damage , due to unburnt fuel reaching the Cat .
This car is a good engine and if no service was done then you may only have a problem with the spark plugs .most common issue for a flashing light .
If plugs are new then further diagnostic will have to be done .
Fuel pressure , etc.
This is the Coil Number 5 .
to check this is the issue swap # 5 with#6 clear codes .
test drive and if the code P0346 comes then replace the coil .
If the same code comes back check the wiring and connection on the coil
and ecm .
Most common is the coil .
