JA: How many miles are on the car? Is it an automatic or a manual transmission?
Customer: Manual transmission, my daughter is driving it and has stalled a couple times, so maybe.... I think it's a 2009 with maybe 120,000 miles
JA: What is the model of your '09 VW?
Customer: jetta sportwagen 5 door
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Nothing. Daughter called me from work and has to drive it for work. I'm worried is all.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: No. Just got back from a perfect trip to chicago with this car. drove like a dream

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. I’m Ron and I’ll be helping you
today.
Before we get started though, Please understand that I don't know
your skill level or tools you have to assist us. Also understand that
I can't see, smell, hear, or touch the vehicle either, so patience is
appreciated. JA is a great Q/A site, but it does NOT replace a
repair shop.
My goal is to make you happy and get a great rating in return for
my time. Sometimes I have to give you bad news that I know you
didn’t want to hear, so please don’t shoot the messenger.

This sounds like a bad fuel pump. Please check the fuel pressure with a gauge and get back to me with the results.

Thanks, Ron

Well If it's running now, it may be okay.
