Thanks for choosing Just Answer . I'm Wolfgang here to help!!

I am confident we can resolve your problem together. Please
understand that I don't know your skill level. In most cases when you have a problem
with the way the vehicle performs, specialized tooling is required to acquire computer
data/information or engine testing results. We didn’t build these complicated vehicles; we
just diagnose and fix them. Also understand that I can't see, smell, hear, or touch the
vehicle either, so it may take a few replies to get to satisfactory results. I am also going to
direct you with the fastest, easiest and most common things to check first. Please be
patient and permit me to do what I do best.
I also try to give all of the information you may need, expecting a “positive rating” in
return. I will also continue assisting you after you have rated me, if necessary. If there
is any reason I cannot get a positive rating, please let me know why “in advance”, so I
can go another direction for you. I am sorry you’re having this problem; I’ll help you
through it.
Below is my first answer or request for more information. If you do not understand it, or you need more information from me, or need me to go in more detail.

just to make sure it was okto start before the fuse box was inspected?

please let me know

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
the car started and functioned properly before the fuse box was inspected.
Expert:  Wolfgang replied 3 months ago.

ok i do need the vin # please and you were only on the engine box correct?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I only inspected the engine box. It is the 30 fuse box. I originally inspected the box because i suspected the wrong fuse may be in place for the head lights as they go out abnormally quickly. After checking the fuses, using the diagram all fuses were intact and rated for the proper amperage. I then closed the fuse box and tried to start the vehicle. The dash lights and interior lights function but the engine will not turn over. Ill go get the VIN for you.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
The information you provided me is for the wrong fuse box. you gave me the 54 box but as i mentioned it is the 30 fuse box. Also I have the diagram and all fuses are properly placed and intact.
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
The box in question has F1 through F30 as well as R1 and R2. The diagram does not mention the purpose of r1 and r2 but those were not touched.

I appreciate the information but as I said I already have the diagram. I am not entirely sure what it is that you want me to do from here
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
where do I find these
N127 - Ignition Coil 2 with Power Output Stage
N291 - Ignition Coil 3 with Power Output Stage
N292 - Ignition Coil 4 with Power Output Stage
N323 - Ignition Coil 5 with Power Output Stage87
Expert:  Wolfgang replied 3 months ago.

well i see this . the car has started and ran before the fuse box inspection so i would double check if you placed a fuse in the wrong slot so the chart is where what fuse is what and is that slot used?

so my reasoning last thing touched needs to be rechecked.

that is the ignition coils # 2-5 itself

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I apologize if maybe I am not presenting the information correctly but I really just don't know how else to say it. The box that was inspected has been checked and rechecked and rechecked. All fuses are properly placed with the appropriate amperage ratings and intact. Also all items on your list tat begin with J, N, V or SC are not located on the fuse box in question.
Expert:  Wolfgang replied 3 months ago.

just follow the f #'s

so does the engine crank but wont start or no crank at all?

Expert:  Wolfgang replied 3 months ago.

do you have a vag com scan tool?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
no I do not
Expert:  Wolfgang replied 3 months ago.

you will need to see what codes are stored in the vehicle !!!
