first time it happens ?

we do need the a diagnostic scan to retrieve the esc module fault codes but try this for now see if it will reset the module ,

als make sure no vacuum hose is disconnected on the brake booster

Master reset Procedure

1- Disconnect Battery Cables ( Negative & Positive Cables )

2- Hold cables Together for 20 secs ,then let go

3- Wait 10 minutes

4- Make sure all doors are closed

5- Reconnect battery Cables

6- Lock & unlock the vehicles using the key from driver door side (if you have a key fob with no blade key, just lock & unlock using the key fob buttons)

7- Enter the vehicle and attempt to start

Please let me know

Thank You

That didn't work. My brother seems to think the battery is dead. Going to try and jump
Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 4 months ago.

a low battery or weak will cause this also

i suggest a new battery or a good slow charge on it

Expert:  Chad Farhat replied 4 months ago.

be careful jumping it , vw are funny about jumping batteries , i suggest take battery completely out and charge it instead in the car
