my son is driving and his 2007 GTI is having intermittent loss of power...it is 103 degrees out no codes showing and temp gauge is normal temp

he has been driving for a few hours and it started happening....he turned the car off for 15 minutes or so and has resumed driving and it has not re-occurred yet

Ok it sounds like the car has put system into limp mode and shutting off and restarting has reset
