Hi my name is ***** ***** I will be happy to assist with this today. In some cases I may need more info to assist better.I apologize for any delay.
If they did not check the wiring leading to or from the alternator this needs done to see if any wiring issues are found. If a wiring fault is found it will need repaired to correct this issue here.I have seen loose, damaged and corroded wiring cause this fault here leading to or at the alternator as well as at the starter and battery. The fuses also need checked to make sure they are all o.k. as well.I dont suspect the alternator itself is the cause here but instead an issue with poor wiring connections or wiring leading to the alternator needing repaired or replaced.
You might have a repair facility inspect all wiring to and from the alternator, starter and battery as well as fuse panels for any issues.
