is there a fuel pump kill/reset switch since i disconnected the battery?

No, it should start fine. CHeck the fuses on top of the battery to make sure you did not blow one. Make sure that when you turn your key to "on" the check engine light comes on and goes off (self check of systems)

Is the engine turning over at normal speed? What engine do you have? How many miles?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it is turning over at normal speed. it is the 2.0L 100K miles on it.. if the car is sitting on a slight decline front facing down hill would that make any difference?
Expert:  gomi_otaku replied 1 year ago.

Have you checked the timing belt? At 100k miles, hopefully you have had it replaced already. If you simply unclip the upper cover, and make a mark on the belt, then try cranking it over and make sure the belt is turning. Often the teeth shear off the lower end not while driving, but when you go to start it, it is always unexpected.
