You are going to want to check the oil pressure sensors- the one on the head fails most frequently, it is just below the valve cover on the transmission end of the head. It has a rubber boot over it, often you can squeeze the boot and it will "pop" loose and spill oil, which would indicate that oil is seeping past the pin. Check the other sensor as well, on the oil filter housing. Does the alarm come on at idle, or only when you rev it over 1200rpm?
