Customer Question

I've had P2177 code on my 2004 2.0L (BBW)
I've replaced the mass air flow sensor , I would like to trouble shoot rather than throw parts at it . My daughter blew the engine , and I just had it replaced including all hoses . I spent over $6000 getting the car back on the road , and I cant afford to have it back at a shop .

That fault would indicate that you are running lean. So either you have an intake air leak, an exhaust leak that is letting air IN before the O2 sensors, or you have plugs that are so worn that you are getting an incomplete burn. Any other symptoms? Any runability issues?
