Hello there! I'm Wolfgang ! I will try to assist you as much as I can.
please inspect the battery and the fuse box on top of the battery .
make sure that there is good and tight connections on the battery terminals and then on the fuse box on top of the battery make sure that there is no meltdown in the fusebox . especially the most left wire when facing the box .
please let me know

I did get the car started by jumping it off, something that I find completely baffling. While your response is reasonable enough, I am not sure that it adequately addresses the details of my problem. And I was hoping for a response that was a bit more specific to the Jetta. Apparently Jetta's have a bit of an issue with the demobilizing system. Would you care to speculate now that I have given you some additional information?

with your explanation of everything went dead means low battery voltage , battery connection issue (loose) or the top of the fuse box melted. these are common issues here with your vehicle.
so you jumped the vehicle and then started again and ran?
have you had the battery tested?
please let me know
