Volkswagen Passat 2.0T: How do I get in the inner part of my

This answer was rated:

How do I get in the inner part of my Cv axle out? It's a 2008 volkswagen passat.

Hello and welcome. Thank you for trusting us with your vehicle concerns, I will do my best to help you with your question.

There is a tool for that but most times a prybar or chissel will do with a few shots of a hammer.

Attach (T10161) between transmission housing and triple roller joint.

  • Press inner joint out of transmission via a hammer blow on the (T10161).
  • Remove drive shaft.

If you do not require further assistance, kindly rate my service.

What's the tool that's normally used if the hammer and chisel aren't sufficient? There's minimal space I'm working with.
That would be the T10161 that is shown in the instructions Charley.
