Dear sir. I just bought a passat 2012. It seems the phone Bluetooth system is not active. When you press the phone or microphone button, the sound in the car is muted. The phone display does show on the screen.how do I provision/activate my phone bluetooth system. Pls help.

I know the vehicle comes with the button on the steering wheel but does the vehicle have the blue tooth option on your vehicle ??
honestly...I cant see any bluetooth logo anywhere in the car...but thought bluetooth was standard in all the 2012 cars. what the passat website says. so why do you have all the handsfree system in the car if it is not bluetooth enabled. this is very puzzling!
It should have it , does the phone show the vehicles blue tooth module when your searching for it ??
no sir. it does not. nothing at all. if you press the phone button on the radio console, it just only mutes the sound of the sytem if you play the radio. infact, went through the manual, and it says that this would happen if the phone sytem is not activated. should send you the chassis number number of the car
Ok here in the U.S the Passat comes standard with the blue tooth which is believed it did world wide , more then likely you just need to have it activated by the dealer by having it recoded but this needs to be done at the dealer because it needs to be done with a factory scan tool .
