i have a 2006 jetta 2.5. The A/C isnt working and the check engine light was on, i ran it on the computer and it said the cooling fan was out. the relay for the fan i guess is on the main radiator fan so both got replaced. both fans are now coming on, but the a/c still isnt working. I heard that they might have to be reprogrammed? Could that keep the compressor from kicking on?

Welcome to Just Answer!!!Have you cleared the faults and have you checked the freon levels yet ??
do they still need to be cleared if the check engine light is not on?
Yes they will still need to be cleared because there is trouble codes stored in the engine control module have this done first if you still have a issue after a test drive then the next step will be to check the freon levels but erasing the faults should take care of it . i hope this helps.Your feedback and bonuses are greatly appreciated thank you !!
freon levels are good and i cleared the faults. still nothing from the compressor
