I have a 55 plate VW Sharan 1.9 TDI. Recently the ABS light came on; the handbrake light started flashing; the please refuel light started beeping and the fuel guage started moving up an down. The garage replaced a fuse last week, which solved the problem, but it has now started over again. Can you help.Joe

Is the fuse blown again and which fuse?
I've no idea. The garage that fixed the problem simply replaced a fuse, but not sure which one. They're closed until Monday and I can't wait. It seems like a power surge or something is blowing the fuse.
Sounds like the alternator is causing a power surge . Has the alternator been tested ?
No, alternator hasn't been tested. I replaced the fuse again, but it has blown again. A friend has suggested a bad earth connection? I will have it tested. Thanks for help but I willl have to just send it to a garage to get it fully tested.
No problem this can very well be the issue . It's either a dead short or the alternator is bad. Hoped this helped. Dont forget to click the green accept button so I can get credit for my help. Best of luck.
