The rear wiper on my 2004 golf keeps running when the inside temp of the car is very hot. When I turn on the air conditioning and the inside temp cools down it stops

Welcome to Just Answer!!!
Have you checked the connector for the rear wiper motor yet??

Customer replied1051 days and 10 hours ago.

No I have not done anything. Trying to get and idea. Rear wiper works fine when it is cool outside but comes on by itself when it is hot. Running A/C to cool down cabin stops it

Is there any play in the wiper switch at all?

Customer replied1051 days and 1 hours ago.

No there is no play in the wiper switch. The switchseems to operate normally. I will take the car to work this morning and the rear wiper will function normally(stay off). After sitting in the hot sun and the cabin temperature rises after work upon starting the car the wiper runs for no reason. After the cabin temp cools down it quits
