97 VW Jetta: cigarrete lighter wont charge cel-phone.

Resolved Question:

I have a 97 VW Jetta. The cigarrete lighter won't charge cel-phone. I have checked the fuse, and its Ok. I have replaced the whole Cig-lighter unit, its Ok. But, it still doesn't work. What should I try next???

Simple to just rewire it. If an after market stereo or anyhting on the dash has been removed it may have come unplugger. Grab a test light and center is + outer is -. or use meter. If heater control lights also dont work then you have wire issue.

Yes the heater control lights don't work sometimes. I often have to lightly hit the heater controls with my fist and then they come on. If you could give me more info on wire issues and possible give me a clue on how to rewire, I would apppreciate it.
