Customer

It depends on your brakes but it should be fine, try putting them on, if they clear the brake calipers you are good.

I mean replacement tire is without rim. So can I replace the 205/55 R16 tire with 195/65 R15 one on the same rim? Is this one zise change from 16 to 15 possible?
Expert:  VWDoc replied 7 years ago.
Customer Danny was assuming that you had the smaller diameter tire already mounted on wheels. No, it is not possible to mount 15" tires on 16" rims and vice-versa. Please accept Danny's answer however.
