How can I reset the low tire pressure warning light on my 2006 Passat.

You have to set the correct tire pressure. If your tire pressure guage cost less than $30 it isn't accurate, tire pressures being high but the same won't cause the light to be on but if they are less than the specified pressure it will. Look at the recommended pressures in the drivers door jamb or the fuel tank flap lid and set the pressures 3 - 4 psi higher than spec and it will go out.
