Customer Question

2003 Volkswagon Jetta 4 cylinder battery replacement. There is a electrical connection box placed right over the battery that I want to replace. Is there any special knowwledge that I should seek before taking it off? Is that the computer and sensor feeds?

HiCustomer there's nothing special regarding the fuse box over the battery. Just position it out of your way when changing the battery. The fuse boxes are known for problems however. You may want to look closely at the green fuses in the box. Remove them and inspect the box for signs of overheating. Visually inspect the strip fuses also. The box feeds various circuits throughout the car.
