1997 vw jetta: drive and my oil light started blinking and beeping

This answer was rated:

1997 vw jetta 2.0... Last night i started my car, put it in drive and my oil light started blinking and beeping. pulled over and saw that in between the base unit or upper portion connected to the engine and the engine oul cooler theres a major leak. I looked up parts and have read some reviews, however, it seems as though before I start spending over a hundred dollars, I would like to know if I can just replace what seems to be a gasket or a seal?

HiCustomer the o-ring between the oil cooler and the adapter can be easily replaced. It's #11 in the picture. The part # XXXXX XXXXX 117 070A. Let me know if you need any more help.
