Leaking fuel pump flange on 2004 xc90. Does the tank need to

Customer Question

Leaking fuel pump flange on 2004 xc90. Does the tank need to be removed or is there an access fron inside car (someplace)?
JA: Just to clarify, can you actually see the leak?
Customer: Smell it. Not coming from filter. Looks like there COULD be so evidence of gas on exterior of tank.
JA: Are you fixing your XC90 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Plan to do it. Wanted some answers before I starting tearing things apart.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I don't think so, but I don't know what I don't know.

They did have issues on them with the fuel pump flanges cracking and there was an extended warranty for 10 years or 150K miles, (which you are over).

The rear seat has to come out to get to it.
