JA: Is the car in "Park" or "Neutral?" Do you know if your car has a "wheel lock" feature?

JA: What is the model/year of your Volvo?

JA: Are you fixing your XC90 yourself? What have you tried so far?

HI,

Ok, first try GENTLY tapping around the ignition key cylinder with a hammer as you try to turn the key. If the tumblers are sticking, this will free them up.

If no difference, this may be the key interlock system - disconnect the negative cable for 10 minutes and then reattach and try the key
