Hello, I'm Matt.

The part is called VARIABLE VALVE TIMING ACTUATOR.

The part is under $300. However the labor is about 5 hours. This is why so expensive.

There is an intake side and exhaust side. Here is some of the example: https://www.fcpeuro.com/Volvo-parts/Variable-Valve-Timing

Ask the dealer to give you the part number. You could search it online and get it cheaper.

Please rate me positive, thank you.
