I own a 2016 V60 T5 and have replaced the wheel with 19'

Customer Question

I own a 2016 V60 T5 and have replaced the wheel with 19' rims and tires. They look great but the stance is too high. Is there ANY way to lower the vehicle 1"to 1 1/2 inches? Nothing as extreme as a complete suspension change but maybe having the existing suspension "tweaked"?

Hi Richard,

Your new wheel/tyre is now bigger hence the higher stance.

Now you have slower acceleration, incorrect speedo reading, less efficient braking, and possibly worse fuel economy.

Coupled with that you face the possibility of a car that doesn't handle as well as factory, and now the chance of tyres rubbing on the guards etc.

I'm sure you find a suspension package that will work with the wheel size you have and give you the stance you want.

Generally with adjustable coilover shocks.

There is no legal way to lower ride height without changing parts.
