Customer Question

HI,
did this just happen out of the blue, or after brake repairs, and if after brake repairs, what was replaced?
Have you checked the brake fluid level in the reservoir and is it low?
Have you looked underneath the vehicle, behind the wheels, for fluid leaking?
Can you pump the brake pedal several times quickly and get a decent brake pedal for a bit?
What year xc90?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Hi,
Ok, did you bench bleed the master cylinder before installing it?
Was the master cylinder replaced due to no pedal, leaking, or some other reason?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Eric replied 1 year ago.
HI,
What order did you bleed the brakes at the wheels?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I still try to give the back line bleed fluid is coming of the front line but not the back line
Expert:  Eric replied 1 year ago.
HI,
Ok, first, Volvo requires the vacuum to be 29-43psi. And the order you bleed the brakes in is critical.
It should be:
left front, right front, left rear, right rear.
If you didnt bleed it in this order, this is what you need to do at this point
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can't get no fluid out back line of the master clys
Expert:  Eric replied 1 year ago.
HI,
If you crack the line at the master cylinder for the rear, does it bleed?
you never answered on the order you bled them in. Did you bleed them in the order I listed?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have got to the wheels yet
Expert:  Eric replied 1 year ago.
HI,
If you havent got to the wheels yet to bleed, where are you bleeding it at right now?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
At the master clys
Expert:  Eric replied 1 year ago.
HI,
If there is no fluid coming out at the master cylinder port, then it is a defective master cylinder. You should be able to fill the master cylinder and open the brake lines at it and it should gravity bleed out the ports.
And definitely should bleed with a pressure bleeder.

I will check out master clys I brought it auto zone
Expert:  Eric replied 1 year ago.
HI,
It is somewhat common to get defective ones from them. I have gone thru as many as 4 in a day for a single vehicle til I got a good one
