I just bought a 95 850 glt, when I turn the lights on at night a little lightbulb comes on on the dashboard. What does that mean?

Hello, I will try to help. That is a bulb failure warning indicator. you most likely have a light out somewhere on the vehicle. Look especially close on the back of the car, there is 2 small lights in the top of each lamp assembly, look closely and I bet one of those 5 watt bulbs are out. If all the bulbs are working correctly, you shouldn't see that indicator on the dash.
if my reverse lights were out, would that cause the little lampbulb to light up?
No reverse lights are on a seperate circuit. and the reverse lights of course are not lit when moving forward, so I don't believe they trigger the bulb failure light. Make sure fuse number 28 is good out near the drivers side wiper cowl area, That's where the fuses are, under the hood towards the drivers side of the firewall near the wiper arm.
If you'll look at the rear of the vehicle closely and compare it side to side, I believe you'll see a bulb out, but look at the front as well. make sure both headlamps and front parking lamps are on.
awesome! Thank you so much, Eddie. Thats been really helpful advice. Jen
