How much should it cost to remove the fuel tank on a 1999 Volvo v70 awd to look for a fuel leak?My 20 yr old niece was quoted $1000 just to remove the tank They won't give her a written estimate for the leak repair either.I would hate to see her taken advantage of. that's quite a bit of money just to remove and replace the tank. Industry-accepted labor time is 6.0 hours. I could see, with it being an older car, there being some issues with possible corrosion of hardware making it take longer, but $1000 is pretty high
