I have a 2002 V40 Wagon. it just started smoking some (blue smoke) especially when I first start. I'm wondering if the turbo is working as I almost never kick it in. Does it have to do with the turbo do you think and if so what is involved with the repair. It seems to run fine and smoothe otherwise.

The most likely cause is a faulty turbo, or leaking turbo seals. the turbo will have to be replaced, that is roughly $1000 job.
OK, if that is the case is it hurting the car to run it as it is for a few days till I can get to a qualified mechanic?
As long as you keep an eye on the oil level, and maintain it no. you don't want to run low on oil. the smoke is a cause of the oil getting burned.
