Volvo C70 my srs light started coming on. It stays on for

This answer was rated:

my srs light started coming on. It stays on for a minute or two and then goes off for a
while and then comes back on for a little bit.

What's going on?

Thanks for using JA

The srs light comes on steady when the module detects a fault in the system. in your case the fault is intermittent comes and goes, but there still be a fault recoreded in the module, so the module has to be scanned then the fault traced to be repaired.

this can be done at a repairs shop that is equipped to handle this repair or the dealer

you will not be able to do anything on your own this needs a good scanner.

the system will be deactivated as long as the light is on..

what can be some of thefaults that could be looking at. whatis some of the most common one's.

A module internal fault, loose connection, pinched wires. defective crash sensors.

there isn't one or a common problem in the air bag system on those cars.

this a sound system and reliable. the trick is that guessing is not an option,

the other part is that it's not safe to poke around you can make it worst or cause a bag to deploy. the system is sensitive and static electricity can effect it.
