look for yellow part on picture that is your dipstick
My husband just changed the oil, had the passenger side only jacked up. Having trouble with the photo.
is blocked by the lower radiator hose so you have to move it to the side to see it and is very hard to see where it is
you husband changed the oil for what trans or engine ?

no. He's looking to check the transmission fluid because after he changed the oil the car would not drive.
It starts but does not go anywhere.
He knows where the engine oil dipstick is

He believes it was the motor oil. He's changed the oil in other cars lots of times. First time changing it on the Volvo
what size was the nut for the oil drain
17 mm or bigger ?

drain plug was almost a full inch
well if he used bigger than 17 than im sure he drained trans fluid
ok. where does he fill it?
you use this video is for s60 but location on xc90 is same
you will need special oil
cant use any oil
or you will damage the trans

you have ways going to dealer or online or ask local store but most will not have it
The fluid you speak of is Volvo's very special #3309 ATF which is also the same thing as Mobil-3309
volvo delaer oil for 2 big cans is around $190
you will fill the oil thru the dipstick also you will need long fanel
