Are the batteries new and fresh?

If they are, then the lens mechanism may be jammed and this will prevent the camera from turning on.

If a small grain of sand gets into the lens mechanism it can cause this.

You can try a few shakes or taps to help dislodge any debris that may have gotten into the lens mechanism.

If that doesn't work then the camera will need to be taken for repair.
