Customer Question

I have a Model: STC-RX24. It won't allow me to get into the menu to set time, date, etc. I tried it without setting it, but won't take any pictures. What do i try next. Tom
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: RX series . Don't think it's 2-3 years old. Never had a chance to use it till this year. Retired now and have time.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Put it out in the field last week with another camera, other camera got nice pictures. This one had none. Tried new batteries, it lights up red like it's taking pictures but comes up empty. Don't know what to try next. Instruction manual doesn't say anything.
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No. Go ahead.

It's possible that the battery needs to be replaced. After that amount of time, the battery may be flat, even though it hasn't been used.

You can do a reset, but you would need to get into the menu first.

: This setting is used to reset the camera to its factory defaults. With this option blinking, pressing the UP or DOWN arrow buttons will cause the camera to cycle between the two options of NO or YES. When the YES option is chosen and the ENTER button is press the camera will default all configurations made up to this point.
