well I was sent to a site and they want me to pay a lawyer fee...don't understand why
JA: What's the make/model of your camera? How old is it?
Customer: just purchased today
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: tried to follow instructions and typed in canon and that was where all went wrong. never did see set up

Please go to the following page and type in the model number of your printer and press enter. On the next page, select drivers and software, and then download the "full featured software". Install that (it's the latest), and wait until it tells you to connect the printer before doing so.
