I have a leupold gx-3i with a new battery and does not

i have a leupold gx-3i with a new battery and does not register distances (occasionally it registers 5-15 yards but that's all)-have put in two new batteries but still not functioning properly. Is there an online manual?
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: its a leupold GX-31 Tournament DNA and is appx 5 yrs old
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: leupold GX-3i sorry for the typo
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: hasn't worked properly in over a year and don't know what to troubleshoot other than replacing the battery

I think your Leupold scope will need repairing. That problem does not seem to me to justify any other recourse or attempts.
