Customer Question

Hi! My Sony Cybershot DSC-H300 has its lens popped out and frozen and when I have the batteries on and press the on button, it says Cyber-Shot and stays that way. I do not know if it has warranty but I need to have this fixed!
JA: What's the make/model of your camera? How old is it?
Customer: Its a DSC-300 with a 30 times zoom and appears to be about 5 years old. I am not sure though
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Before this popped up the video went blurry and I could not access the files that I made. It just turned off. I have tried taking the batteries off and pressing the on button and putting the batteries on again
JA: Anything else you want the camera expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I want him to know that this is very crucial to me and I don't think I can afford repair.

Hi there and welcome

Can you remove the battery please then hold the shutter button down for 60 seconds then release.

Wait 5 minutes, put the battery back in and try to turn it on.

Tell me please if it now operates correctly

Thank you
