How do I download the software to download photos from my camera to my PC My Malware security won't let me download.
JA: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: It's a Canon G7X, about 18 months old, bought in UK
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: None, I tried to download it from canon.com/icpd I have Windows 10
JA: Anything else you want the camera expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No I just want to be able to download and access my photos from the PC

Hi,

I'm sorry about the issue. Are you able to disable your security program temporarily?

If you turn on the camera, then connect the camera to the computer. Then open file explorer / window explorer. Then click on This PC option on the left, then can you open the camera device (or camera's driver letter) if it's there, then open folder DCIM and/or any subfolder. Then can you view your photos there?
