Customer Question

I have a Canon Power Shot SX500IS camera. I took pictures of an award presentation to be placed in our newspaper and the pictures did not go onto my chip, but only in the camera's memory. How can I retrieve the pictures for the newspaper?
JA: What's the exact make and model of the camera? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Canon Power Shot SX500IS . It has 16 mega pixels and a 4.3-129.0mm lens. My estimate is the camera is approximately 6 years old.
JA: What happened right before this popped up? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I am extremely non-technical, so I haven't tried anything in fear I would lose the photos I took.
JA: Anything else you want the camera expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I am leaving for a Veterans Day Honor Program at our school very soon. I need to retrieve the photos or retake them to be placed in the newspaper.

Hi there and welcome

This camera has no internal memory for storing photos, why do you believe the pictures are on the internal memory?
